Headed to my hometown of Twin Falls, IDaho last weekend to set up for the "Crafts in the Country" event. Here's a picture of my booth, all set up at the fairgrounds! While I was there, I played tourist a bit and wandered around the PErrine Bridge taking pictures and video. I am rather fond of this sculpture of "The Twins" near the bridge. It's striking and lovely, and works with the surrounding environment. I was able to take a leisurely drive home on Monday afternoon after packing up on Sunday evening. I stopped by a roadside diner ("The Pit Stop Grill") in Declo to have lunch. Finger steaks and tater tots with fry sauce. Definitely not health food, but yummy! Very much enjoyed my road trip back home, and stopped by a rest area to stretch my legs, have some coffee, and wander a round a bit. Watched some ants carrying gravel around: And took some more pictures. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out:

It was a cold, wet, rainy day last Saturday when I usually set up for Farmer's Market. Instead of being miserable in the rain, I spent some time taking pictures and listing new journals on etsy. Check them out! I've got some shows scheduled for this Fall and Holiday season, stop by and say hello!

Why yes, I am looking forward to Halloween. It's one of my very favorite holidays. Candy! Costumes! Creepy stuff! What's not to love? This is just a little clay "doodle" that ended up on my work table. I had to take a picture and play with it a bit in photoshop. The end result reminds me a bit of a Dementor from HArry Potter. Better practice your patronus! We ALL Scream for Ice Cream!! There will be an ice cream social at the Portneuf Valley Farmer's Market this Saturday, so yesterday I got out my carving tools and made an ice cream printing block. Not sure what I'm going to make with it yet...some necklaces? Maybe some stickers! OR I think it might make some really cute hair accessories. Decisions, decisions! :) |
